How can i take my scent away when im hunting without buying stuff?

i want to go hunting but im not sure how to take my scent away without buying somethingHow can i take my scent away when im hunting without buying stuff?
you can make your own cover scent, just gather some leaves, dirt, twigs, pine needles, whatever you have available where you hunt, boil it in water for a couple of minutes then dump it into a bottle, of coarse you want to run it through some kind of filter but it wont cost you but a little bit of time. How can i take my scent away when im hunting without buying stuff?
To do this on a budget use Ivory shop to wash your body and hair ( it is scent free ) Then use baking soda to wash your hunting clothes then store them in a clean garbage bag or a new plastic storage container of some kind. I did this for years before I started buying scent free hunters soap , shampoo , and detergent!!
There's not much you can do without buying something. Showering without using fragrance impregnated soap would be a start, and shaving your body hair may reduce your body odor slightly, but you'd have to shave your body hair for that. Letting your hunting gear set out to let the detergent smell dissipate will help. There are inexpensive ways to cover your scent, including some specialty hunting soaps, but you generally will get what you pay for for scent blocking, I hate to say.

The thing you should ask yourself is if it's really worth it to smell less. The effects of odor blocking has long been debated over it's effectiveness.
I cut some pine branches and hang my hunting cloths with the pine branches for about a week before the season opens. Leaves them with a nice pine smell that as far as I can tell overrides any scent I may have.
I made this scent killer myself once and trust me, it works BEAUTIFULLY! When I made it I didn't have to do any shopping, I had all the ingredients I needed.

Well dont shower the night b4 or morning of with shampoo or soap. Also leave all your hunting cloths and boots outside to air out weeks b4 the hunt and you should be good.
Don't smoke or chew tobacco before you hunt. Don't relieve your bladder around your stand. Don't wear aftershave. Shower without soap. Hunt into the wind. Check your back track.
Ingredients: 16oz. hydrogen peroxide 16oz. distilled water 1/2 cup baking soda 1oz. unscented shampoo (natural resources unscented liquid hunter soap works great)

Step 1) Gently combine all the ingredients in a large bowl until all the baking soda dissolves. Pour this mixture into a 1-gallon lidded container. Let it sit for three days with the lid on loosely to allow gasses to escape.

Step 2) Fill a plastic bottle that has a trigger sprayer with the scent killer. Make sure it is clean.

Step 3) To make scent killing wipes, place brown multi fold paper towels - the kind that comes in stacks, not on a roll - in a small plastic tub with an airtight lid. Cover them with scent killer and let it soak in. Pour out excess liquid and replace the lid.

Please make sure all containers are not clear plastic. Light destroys the properties of this solution quickly. If put into the proper tight sealing container it was last 4 months without a problem.

You may have to purchase something or other if you don't have all this stuff on hand. Remember, nothing you do will make you completely odor free so it is best to hunt with the wind in your favor.
