How old do you have to be to own a hunting license?

most states 13 and u have to take hunters safty course. if not u wait until 18How old do you have to be to own a hunting license?
Not sure of the minimum age in Illinois, but if you were born after 1/1/80, you have to take hunter safety.How old do you have to be to own a hunting license?

Somewhere between 10 and 14 is pretty standard though.
most states 12 or 13 yrs, but now many are offering lifetime licenses that you can buy for your newborn even though not required until later in life. The website below has a link to all 50 states DNR for more information.
In my state, you can hunt without a license until you turn 16, but if you don't have an adult with you, you have to have the hunter safety course certificate.
Well, you need to be 12 to hunt and carry a firearm. But I know in some of the southern states, you can hunt and carry a gun and kill an animal, as long as you are accompanied by someone over 18.
well you can get one at any age but in most states you must go through a hunter ed. course if you are 12-17
in the bluegrass (kentucky) state it's 16
12 in South Dakota w/ a hunter safty class must hunt w/ adult
