Describe the prehistoric art of cave painting and the purpose of the piece in hunting?

I think the paintings were a way to make campfires and stories a lot more interesting for their girlfriends...kind of like early TV...hunting channel.

Wonder what the girl caves had on the walls?Describe the prehistoric art of cave painting and the purpose of the piece in hunting?
The cave paintings are incredibly beatiful and accurate depictions of the species of animals encountered by the people. It is interesting that the people depicted in these paintings were usually much less detailed than the animals; more like a child's stick figure. This and the cartoony directional lines seen in some of them cause us to now believe these paintings are instructional drawings on how to hunt the various animals. Like a modernday chalkboard rather than an art gallery.Describe the prehistoric art of cave painting and the purpose of the piece in hunting?
Cave art was a way for people to express their lives through different ways. Stories could be told with them, and they contained spirits of their own. The artist's souls were almost put into them. I think hunting is just part of this. It is something that they know.
