How do i get crows to light in trees or on the ground when i go crow hunting?

how do i get crows to light in trees or on the ground when i go crow hunting? i use my crow call when i hear them getting near but all they do is fly over or fly around but they dont light on the ground or anything how can i get them to light on the ground ro a tree?How do i get crows to light in trees or on the ground when i go crow hunting?
+1 on the Great Horned Owl decoy. Crows just absolutely hate them and they will bring the entire flock in to try and run them off.





As I sit here writing this, there is a mother and two fledgling GHOs in my back yard, and the crows have been at it since 6AM this morning. They (the crows) light in the surrounding trees and set up a cacophony.

You need to use a Great Horned Owl Decoy, preferably a former live stuffed one, or a Red or Gray Fox former live stuffed one.* It helps a lot if you also have a former live stuffed Crow as well mounted its wings spread placed at the feet of the Owl or Fox.*
You will need four things. 1. concealment, 2. crow call, 3. decoys and 4. luck. Those birds are a lot more cunning than a lot of people give them credit for. They are a ball to hunt, though. I have killed many crows with a .22 rifle. I've also missed a lot but that is what makes it a challange and makes it fun.
i use a great horned owl decoy, and for a crow call i just put a cd (of bird noises and calls)into my stereo put the surround sound speakers in a tree and turn the volume up to full. This works great!!!!
I use a set of crow decoys and a fresh rabbit split open. For the rabbit I either shoot one or use road kill. Works most times.
how easy do you want to make killing crows? do you want them to walk up to you?
