The answer hasn't changed since the last time you asked this question. And the easiest solution to this question still would have been to check the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Website since it has all the information you need concerning the game laws for Kentucky's Fall turkey hunt.

Kentucky has turkey seasons in Fall and Spring. In the Fall the options are shotgun season (10/24-10/30 and 12/5-12/11 2009), Archery season (9/5/09-1/18/10), and Crossbow season (10/1-10/18 and 11/14-12/31 2009). Based on that information you would have to be using either a bow or crossbow to go turkey hunting in Kentucky now.

Additionally, it is illegal to use a .22 rifle to hunt turkey in Kentucky so the question about whether a rifle chambered in .22LR can kill a turkey is moot. Should you attempt to do so you may (and probably will) be arrested for poaching (which if convicted will result in the confiscation of your gun, ammunition, knife, and maybe vehicle; the confiscation of your turkey, a fine and/or jail time, and the loss of your hunting privileges for several years). If you want to use a firearm to hunt turkey in Kentucky, you must use a shotgun (either modern or muzzle-loading) between 10 and 20 gauge which can hold no more than 3 shots (2 in magazine and 1 in the chamber).
The safest bet would be to look up the Kentucky Fish and Wildlife Division or whatever it is called in that state.

So, what if I told you it was OK and that a .22 was legal? Then you went and killed a turkey; then your neighbor turned you in. Are you going to tell the judge that you thought it was OK because some stranger on Yahoo Answers ';told me it was OK';? The time it took you to write the question here, could have been better used to find the correct, legal answer in the right place.

What you are planning to do, by the way, is called poaching. It is illegal and unethical. Take a hunter education course before you do anything else.
Some places allow turkey hunting in the fall/winter. Most places do not allow rifles to be used to hunt turkeys. The only place that I am aware of that allows rifles to hunt turkeys is Oklahoma and it is only during the Fall season. A .22lr would be sufficient to kill a turkey if you can make a decent shot.
