What is the point of hunting this bear if not for revenge?

Why do people think that once an animal tastes human flesh it becomes addicted, shunning all other food sources? Isn't it wrong to kill an animal out of some erroneous anthropomorphic sense of justice?

I agree,it's the whole killer shark mentality, one shark attacks someone and the hunt is on,50 sharks are killed and no one knows if they got the right one. What is the point of hunting this bear if not for revenge?
Actually once an animal react to humans as a food source it is always prone to do so again. Not because it has the taste but because it did so in the first place.

I might defend a dog for biting someone, but if that dog was hunting and trying to eat people I think he's all done.
Bears arent stupid and if they find out it is easy to kill a human, they will do it again. That includes children and the lame and the elderly. I think it would be sensible to remove the bear
To keep it from eating one of your children.
That bear is serious business. Needs to be taken care of ASAP!
It's not addicted, but less afraid of man and with a new food source.
perhaps if you yell loud enough they will tranquilize it
