What is the draw-weight on a good deer hunting bow?

A weight that is

1) within the range for which the bow is designed

2) at least the minimum prescribed in hunting regulations for the area where you will be hunting

3) no heavier than you can hold at full draw for 15-30 seconds and then shoot accurately

and 4) one that will cause arrows to penetrate deeply at the maximum distance from which you intend to take a shot.

If it doesn't fulfill any one of those qualifications, then I'd say it is not a good deer hunting bow for you.

That having been said, usually a 40-pound bow will do.What is the draw-weight on a good deer hunting bow?
A 45Lb draw weight bow is ideal.* A 55 Lb draw weight bow is capable of harvesting any Big Game in North America.* It is not necessary to go any higher than 55Lb, and 45Lb is great for Deer size animals.*What is the draw-weight on a good deer hunting bow?
40 lbs and up is the law in most states. 55-65 is the weight used by most hunters.

To the guy who said 100 lbs, first, I'd like to see that bow. Second, I'd like to see you draw it.
45 or up. you don't have to pull a 80 or 90 to kill a deer. but don't walk out there with a 15 in hand.
it depends on your strength and experience, but most good hunting bows are in the 50-65 lb range
whatever feels most comfortable to you above 40#
100 lbs or better.
