Why wasn't Cheney's blood alcohol level tested soon after he shot his associate while hunting?

Why was Cheney considered to be above the law?Why wasn't Cheney's blood alcohol level tested soon after he shot his associate while hunting?
Why was a Katrina victim detained and handcuffed by the Secret Service for telling Dick to go **** himself?

Tactless? Perhaps. Threatening? Certainly not.

Besides, Cheney has reportedly used that precise phraseology on the Senate floor.

Why was a Colorado man arrested for peacefully voicing to Cheney his opposition to Iraq policy? Why is the VP trying to block release of taped depositions in the case?

Why does he violate the law not making public logs of visitors to his office?

Why is not merely the advice offered, but the very membership of his energy task force a secret?

The VP has acted likely an extra-constitutional law unto himself for 7 long and ugly years.

Why have our cowardly representatives in Congress done their duty to preserve, defend and protect the Constitution of the United States and launched an impeachment inquiry?

That's the real question. Why wasn't Cheney's blood alcohol level tested soon after he shot his associate while hunting?
Because that would imply to America that our elected officals are *not* immune to all laws and restrictions they do not feel apply to them.
cheney ...lololololololol what the hell is he still doing there..lololol
They didn't have to check it, they knew he was loaded...literally
Why would he? Hum I know this happens a lot...it was an accident...they don't require testing....for bird pellets! Lol
Because his $hit doesn't stink.

Nor do all neocons $hit

Even though the toilet is overflowing with 7 year old $hit.

.
1) He was on private property.

2) The person he shot did not press charges.

3) It is not illegal to consume alcohol and hunt (no such thing as HUI).

Give me as many ';thumbs down'; as you want, I'm right...
Because they dont prosecute political figures.
I didn't think a heartless villain like him would have any blood to test.
He's the VP and the guy never pressed any charges.

Both happen to fairly influential and are of the same ideaology.
Because of his position.
/sarcasm

Don't you know conservatives never abuse alcohol or drugs, or have non-marital sex, or do anything else that might possibly be socially disapproved of?

/sarcasm off
Because in this administration, he is above the law.
Hey Chi, long time no see :)

I believe you answered your own question, Hon...the law works differently for the rich, famous and powerful than it does for the rest of us.
They didn't test him because he is the VP. Although he shouldn't be above the law he is. He outed a CIA officer and was never charged because they control the law system.
Because he was the one holding the gun!
Hey the guy was an ambulance chaser who cares and besides if he was drunk he would have killed him.
he had the secret service turn away the town sherrif and didnt speak with them untill the next day when he sobered up

good to be the king

or the kings b-tch anyways
Don't hunt with Cheney.
Doesn't matter, he's soft anyways. He made excuses for not going to Vietnam, meaning, he quit on his country a long time ago.
And doesn't he have a lot of nerve going hunting in the same place this year . . . his office had a press release and everything.
They were busy testing the dope level in Obama's blood.
Dick could be charged with public intoxication on many days if he steps out his front door .
He said he never inhaled.

Was that the answer you were looking for?
It was a clean shot.
no one questions a sith lord
A good question. He was probably drunk, and could have been impeached. But they all lok out for each other
They did not report anything to law enforcement until the next morning, so an alcohol test would have been pointless.
Look up the definition of the word....ACCIDENT!
It was not above the law. There is no law that says there is a blood test after a hunting accident and there is no law that forbids alcohol use. He wasn't driving so why would there be a test?

Besides they didn't report it until the next day as I remember it.
Good question, but it's not like folks hadn't been around him, literally, every hour of the day. If he'd had alcohol or if alcohol was thought to have been involved, they'd have known. But I get your point.

Think about it this way, if you can. You and several friends are out hunting dove. Something like this happens and you take your friend to the hospital. Are the police always involved? If your friend doesn't 'press charges' will the police be involved? I don't really think this is that different. Police don't get involved in everything that goes on.

But again, I get your point. I just don't think it's as 'evil' as you allude.
