Can you collect SSI and get a hunting rifle?

You probably can't.Can you collect SSI and get a hunting rifle?
This would depend on why you are collecting SSI. If the diagnosis includes diminished metal capacity, then federal law prohibits. If the diagnosis is for a physical handicap, then there is no restriction.

Federal law prohibits those that have been adjudicated to be mentally incompetent from owning guns. Can you collect SSI and get a hunting rifle?
Guys, SSI is just social security and has nothing to do with mental or physical disability. SSD is for disability, either physical or mental. If you are on SSI, there is no reason at all you can't get a rifle. If you are on SSD it depends on why you are on it.

shoot safe
The anti-gun/ anti-hunters always falsely publish when they can, that ';any disability'; prevents one from all gun ownership. One sees that the position and tactics of these ';anti's'; has nothing to do with honesty or justice, which makes them crooks, out to wrongfully take from others even rights and freedoms guaranteed in our free country. All such people often have arranged everything in their own personal lives to be as illegal as they think they can get away with. A counteracting general policy is justified, and need not wait for any personal attack to justify actions defending American freedom from threats from within the country, by those who make it their lifestyle to be anti-patriotic criminals. Permissiveness of treason can destroy any country nice enough to let idiots get by with it, especially those idiots overbearing, sanctimonious, and creepy enough to attack the rights of the injured.
As long as you can afford it and have not been ';adjudicated mentally incompetent'; there I see no reason why you shouldn't be able to
As long as you don't have any mental defect then you sure can.....

Or felonies....
and why not?
