Do hunting dogs tend to get exited around little children?

I want to get a beagle, and I have a 3 year old little bro. If they are exited, I think I'll get a pom.Do hunting dogs tend to get exited around little children?
The Beagle would be a better choice than a Pom.

Poms get very excited and have a sort of nasty temper and are mostly not great with small children. They are more of an adults dog. They do not like to be handled by kids and don't take direction well from anyone.Do hunting dogs tend to get exited around little children?
Most dogs get excited around small children. It's someone JUST THEIR SIZE to play with...or eat...depending on the breed.

Get your beagle and just train it properly and that way your little brother won't have any problems with your dog.
depends on the type of animal he hunts,if he hunts rabbits he might go after his feet but nothing more.If he hunts racoons, squrreils or birds he might go after his arms and legs.Hope i helped!
DO NOT GET A POM THEY ARE STUPID!!!!!!

beagles are ok but some times there are hard headed and do not listen like you lil' bro. the best thing is give your beagle lots of exersise and direction.[ don't forget most beagles smell unless you bathe them regulary]
Both breeds will get excited around all people--little children included. But beagles are easier to train and keep calm. Poms are just nuts, and there's not much you can do about it.
I like the Bro麓s they are very easy to train and don't tend to get excited around the Pomeranian or the geraniums.
go check out dog breed info.... read up on the temperment it might help you decide.
i don't know how to exit a hunting dog, but do the world a favor and don't get one!
german pointer, soft mouth, loyal, children friendly, and intellegent

check for inbreeding , beagle good choice temprement very good very trainable, pomerainian forget,it gets excited, one man dog.
