Novice deer hunting in the high desert question?

Live in the high desert, know a remote area of public land that has some trees and water near a rocky hill, have seen deer droppings by the water. Would a good way to try to get a deer be to camp out on top of the hill the night before the season opens and then spend the morning on top of the hill overlooking the watering hole with a rifle at the ready? Would contructing some sort of blind on or near the top of the hill be necessary?Novice deer hunting in the high desert question?
Ok what I would do would try to find out what trail there coming in on. Then you try set up camp about a mile to two miles away from the hole and get on top of the hill and just glass for a little wile. Soon enough you should see them but if you cant find them just wait and be paitent. But you may want to do some more scouting and check to see where there beds are and find out were they go at certan times.Novice deer hunting in the high desert question?
