CA hunting regulations concerning nuisance deer?

My brother has a number of young Avocado trees in Squaw Valley, CA and some deer in the area have take a liking to the taste of the leaves. The trees are not for producing a livilyhood. The deer have already killed one tree and all attempts at protecting the remaining trees have been unsuccessful. There are both bucks and does who feed and they mostly appear at night. We have wanted to shoot them but are affraid of the law. I have heard of something called a ';nuicance permit'; but don't know much about them. Any and all information about our situation would be appreciated.CA hunting regulations concerning nuisance deer?
You could just wait till deer season, get a license, and then shoot em
