I will be hunting in MN in zone 1-a, section 159. The weekend i would like to use a bow is Nov. 7 and 8 and Nov. 14 and 15. Can i use a bow/crossbow on these weekends. the dnr websites/book doesnt have enough info about it.Deer hunting question! can i use a bow in this area during rifle season?
Yes you can you use your compound bow but you cannot use a cross bow in MN unless you have a handicap license. The bow season is open from Sept 19- December 31. There is no restriction on bow during the firearms or muzzle loader season.Remember When rifle, slug, and muzzle loader season is open you must wear 50% blaze orange above the waste when bow hunting.Deer hunting question! can i use a bow in this area during rifle season?
You'll have to call the DNR phone number to find out for sure. In my state, I can use a bow during bow season, primitive firearms season, as well as gun season. The bow is allowed for deer hunting here any time any deer season is open.
I'm 99% sure you can. But you will have to wear hunter orange.
