What are the procedures of ghost hunting?

Me and my friends are doing a project in my english class on ghosts and spirits and we were wondering what the procedures were for hunting and investigating ';haunted vistas'; and what equipment they ';use';What are the procedures of ghost hunting?
Ghosting hunting. The first thing any reputable ghost hunter does is check to make sure there isn't a less supernatural explanation. They check the pipes, the vents etc. You sure would look stupid if your ghost turned out to be a rat in the walls. They should also take magnetic and air reading. Someone could get hurt if they are hallucinating from a natural gas leak.





Once they are sure this isn't something simple, they take pictures - temperture reading and sound samples. They will probably use both still and video equipment. Seme of them might use thermal, UV and Infra red imagining equiptment. But this is pretty high tech and expensive. They might also bring a medium. Someone with a psychic sensitivity would be very useful.What are the procedures of ghost hunting?

Get some dowsing rods for you and your friends. Concentrate on sensing that which has past. You will feel weird whenever a ghost passes between the rods. Use this sensation to track the ghost like a compass. When you get close, just talk to the ghost in a calm voice. It doesn't matter what you say. Just keep calming it down so it doesn't get nasty on you. One time my friend and I were dowsing for ghosts and one of them pushed my friend down a chasm. I wasn't too concerned, however, because that little punk owed me a measly $20 for like 6 months straight. What kind of idiot can't cough up $20 in 6 months??





Anyway, when you have the ghost, throw out the trap and stomp on the activator switch. The ghost will be caught in the trap. Then all you have to do is take it back to Ghostbuster headquarters and feed it into Egon's containment system. When the light is green, the trap is clean.
There's a show on FX called ';Ghost Hunters'; about a group called T.A.P.S. You could probably do a web search about them and I'm sure you could find out what types of equipment they use.
